Are you ready to panic at the fact that there are only a few more weeks of summer vacation left? I am! Getting school letters in the mail and supply shopping has me feeling like we just didn’t have enough time. I am now scrambling to do all the activities we missed this summer which made me realize with all the parks and splash pads this summer, we didn’t do any crafts! I’m quite ashamed, really. While I’m not exactly a “Pinterest mom”; I do love keeping my kiddos artwork all over (seriously, it’s everywhere) my house. The fact that they hadn’t created anything other than a drawing in months had me searching Pinterest for some craft ideas for the rest of this summer. Here were some of my favorites, and I can’t wait to create them!

How stinking cute is this Puffy Paint Ice Cream Cone craft from Crafty Morning? We LOVE going to get homemade ice cream on particularly hot summer days and I bet you guys do too! What better way to wind down after the kids get their favorite cone than with this fun craft?

I don’t know about your kids, but I am willing to bet if they are anything like mine they have spent all summer enjoying their squirt guns! Why not change things up a little and create a masterpiece with this cool painting idea from Fireflies and Mud Pies?

My kids came home from school last year totally slime obsessed. My oldest loves anything science-y so slime is right up his alley. We have tried a few types but this Fish in a Bag Slime by My Frugal Adventures is sure to be a crowd pleaser! I even love it as a summer birthday gift bag idea!

One thing my 6 year old has been super excited for is SHARK WEEK! Whether you have a school age kid totally obsessed or a younger kiddo who just loves sharks, this is an awesome craft to keep each kiddo happy. Learn how to make this adorable newspaper shark craft HERE.

We have loved gardening all summer, but unfortunately I haven’t been very good at decorating our garden. These Giant Paper Pinwheels will be sure to brighten up any garden or anywhere your kid wants to put it! Knowing my kids, they will want to keep them in their rooms and sit there blowing on them for an hour. Learn to make these HERE.

I am REALLY good at making all kinds of keepsake crafts for the grandparents on every holiday but I absolutely stink at making stuff for myself. This super sweet thumbprint dandelion from Glued To My Crafts Blog is a summer craft I would keep up all year long.

If you have a toddler or preschooler, some of these other crafts might not be a perfect fit without a lot of help. Buggy and Buddy made this cute jellyfish craft that is great for little fingers to perfect fine motor skills. I can’t wait to try it with my littles!

I don’t know what it is about felt, but it is such a fun crafting material to work with! All three of my kids love this felt Popsicle craft from Live Craft Love. I especially love that with this particular craft, their individuality truly shines through. Check it out HERE.
